Robert Rodriguez's homage to John Carpenter's campy, self-produced midi soundtracks was fantastic in Planet Terror, but nothing compares to Tarantino's ear for soul, funk, and surf rock - even though he does remind you of that kid in your history class who played D+D, knew what brand of bullets they used in the first chapter of WWI, tapped his legs uncontrollably under his desk as he answered every question the teacher asked, but still failed every single test. Alriiiiiiiiiight.
